The Scout RX3 impressed us in our test of how well it was able to clean baking powder around corners and baseboards. Its suction power of 2,500Pa was a little weaker than other robots, but it was able to move quickly and was very quiet. It didn't mop, however and its cleaning pads were difficult to attach and couldn't cope with dried-on dirt.
Its app is a little on the basic side and lacks features such as multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It does work with Alexa, but its voice controls aren't intuitive or responsive. It's also a bit flaky when it returns to the charging station after the course. Other robots can follow an obstruction or follow a previous route, but the RX3 stumbles around until it quits.
Another issue we faced was with its clever features, specifically the mapping function as well as digital keep-out zones. It was good at keeping our furniture legs and shoes away however it could easily get caught on cables, socks and carpets. That's the reason we didn't choose to include it on our Best Buy list.
